Now I am in Glasgow. I didn’t want to come here but my mother Jessica Colgan, who has married again, sent me there. My father George Clay lives in Glasgow. My parents have been divorced since I was eight years old. Jessica has taken me and we started a new life in London. We were happy but then she met Thomas Colgan and last year they got married. Now she is pregnant and this is the reason why I have to stay with George for some time. In a few minutes he will come and pick me up from the airport. Ah, there he is.
During the drive to our old house we talked a little bit. When we reached it he showed me my room with wallpapers which I have chosen when I was eight. They are pink with white rabbits on it. By the way my name is Sybill Clay and I am 17 years old.
The next morning I was unmotivated and a little bit frightened when I went downstairs to have my breakfast. George was happy and drove me to school, which was very nice from him. It was raining.. I got my timetable and I noticed that my first lesson would be French. This cheered me up a little bit. You have to know that I am a big fan of France and some French singers for example Edith Piaf and Frédérik Mey. During the French lesson I noticed that everybody was looking at me. My teacher Madame Abbey Cullen helped me and introduced me to my new class. „Elle s’appelle Sybill Clay. Elle a 17 ans et elle a habité à Londres. (Her name is Sybill Clay. She is 17 years old and she has lived in London). They welcomed me and after class I found myself in front of a young boy with wonderful blue eyes. His name was Mike and he seemed to be very nice. He accompanied me to my biology class where I had to sit next to Lee McPhee. He is very gorgeous. His eyes are black and he has a very expressive face. But I think that he doesn’t like me obivously. He sat as far away from me as the desk allowed. Our biology teacher Mrs. Swan told us that we had to make a biology project about frogs. I wasn’t very happy that I had to work with Lee McPhee because he looked at me and suddenly the phrase if looks could kill ran through my mind. I had no idea what I could have done to him. He doesn’t know me for god’s sake.
At two o’clock I went to the secretary’s office because I wanted to pick up my new time table. The old one had been changed. I was very surprised when I heard Lee’s voice who talked to the secretary. „Isn’t there another biology lesson on another day? I don’t want Biology in the second lesson. Maybe you can arrange something for me?“ he asked Miss Eisenhower. „No. Lee, there is just one biology class for your grade. I am sorry, but I am not able to help you!. I opened the door and both noticed me at the same time. „It is okay. Don’t bother anymore, please.“ Then he ran outside the office. „How can I help you?“. „Well, I need my new time table. My name is Sybill Clay.“ „Ah, yes. Here is it, my dear. You also have Biology in the second lesson. Did you notice something strange? Lee doesn’t want to have it with Miss Eisenhower. Was there anything wrong?“
I haven’t noticed anything strange and I told her that. When I went to the parking lot of the school I noticed Lee McPhee with some other people. He was leaning in front of a yellow volvo. He has already his driver licence. This made me a little bit jealous. My mother didn’t want me to make it. She thinks that London is too dangerous for me. And I think that she is afraid that I would crash into the next tree or the next house. So I have to wait for George to pick me up. He came one hour later than I had expected him and he was in a very good mood. „I booked a driver licence course. I am not sure if you will remember my old friend Billy. He has an old LKW and he doesn’t need it anymore. His son Thomas buildt his own car and so you can get the old LKW if you want to.“ I laughed and was very happy. „Dad, this is a great idea. I would love to have this LKW. We have to visit Billy.“ But George said that he hadn’t enough time to visit him and that we would visit him on Saturday. We drove back home and I did my homework. Then George helped me to install my laptop. I checked my mails and there was one of my best friend Esmet.
how are you? Do you like Glasgow? Have you met any new friends? How is your school? I am very curious, you have to tell me everything. It’s a pity that you have left our school. We got a very nice French language assitant who is called Brigitte Neveu. She is 23 years old and I really like her. I understand her very well. I think that you would have liked her very much. Your journal „Écoute“ is still in my room. You have forgotten it the last time. Give me your new adress and I will send it into the mail.
I am fine. I have a little cold because it is raining most of the time. I haven’t met lots of new people but there is a boy. Lee McPhee. He doesn’t like me at all and I have no idea what I could have done to him. My teachers seem to be very understanding. But I miss you already. I am jealous because you and my old class have a new language assitant. But my French teacher Madame Abbey Cullen is very nice as well. I have missed my journal already. It would be great if you could send it to my father’s office. You have his adress, haven’t you?
J'aime des commentaires. ;)
